The graph

A company can have several relationships at once. A supply relationship, a partnership, and a subsidiary link are different claims, even between the same two companies.

Some connections are direct: a document states them. Others are derived. Two companies that share a counterparty, or a person, are connected by that shared node. A derived connection is not a claim that the two companies transact with each other.

What is stored

Profiles, evidence, assertions, and unresolved names are stored separately. A name mentioned in a document stays unresolved until someone identifies the company or person. Matching names are not treated as the same identity.
